Your Vacation Pay Benefits

VACATION PAYOUT

This is a semi-annual payment for active members meeting the criteria.

FIRST PAYOUT—Last Friday in June. Only hours worked from October 1st through May 15th (no payment for Disability or Workers Comp Credits).
SECOND PAYOUT—First Friday in December. Only unpaid hours worked from October 1st through September 30th (no payment for Disability or Workers Comp Credits).
ALTERNATE FIRST PAYOUT—Eligible members who have not attained the required hours by May 15th, but reach the required hours by June 30th, will be issued their initial Vacation payment the first Friday in August, but not to exceed payment for 1,000 work hours. (No payment for Disability or Workers Comp Credits).
ANNUITY DEFERRAL—You may elect to defer ALL or a portion of your Vacation/Holiday pay as a deferred contribution into your individual Defined Contribution Pension Account. These deferrals are allowed on a pre-tax or a post tax(Roth) basis.

HOLIDAY PAYMENT

All Basic Unit and Secondary Workforce members who are eligible for a Vacation check will receive a Holiday payment included in their December Vacation payout.

VACATION ELIGIBILITY

BASIC UNIT MEMBER

1,000 hours (Work hours, Workers Comp and/or Disability credits)
$3.00 per hour — All hours worked

SECONDARY WORKFORCE

1,300 hours (Work hours, Workers Comp and/or Disability credits)
1.00 for each hour worked

NOTE: Worker’s Compensation and/or Disability Credits are counted towards Vacation Benefits eligibility requirements, but not for payment of benefits. Participants will receive 20 hours credits per week for each week on Workers’ Compensation or weekly disability.
